Carleton University’s Law Society is a student-led organization dedicated to supporting and representing students with an interest in law through community engagement, advocacy, and professional development. We host academic workshops, networking events, and social gatherings that connect members with peers, faculty, and the broader legal community. While Carleton has several law-focused clubs, the Law Society stands out as the one that truly prepares students for their legal journey. By blending education with experience, we empower our members to strengthen their skills, explore career paths, and make a meaningful impact both on campus and beyond.

CMAS is focused on ensuring you get the most out of your mechanical or aerospace degree here at Carleton. We run many events that are each focused on different aspects of the university life: we have academic events like workshops and speakers to help you with your studies and knowledge base; professional events such as our career networking night for our members to get their names out to the industry and snag a nice job; and, of course, we have the fun events, like catapult building, for our members to hang out and just take a break from courses. Becoming a member also entitles you to a variety of office services and discounts on events and merchandise. If we don’t have something you need, be sure to come to one of our weekly meetings and voice your opinion. We’re always happy to hear your thoughts and grow the society to better suit our members.

We help facilitate student’s knowledge, interest, and networking in the field of military and defence studies.

This club is really different than others in the same category. It is much more casual, and much less competitive and stressful than others. It combines legal knowledge and understanding of our legal processes with fun and excitement. Mock trial involves acting, on the spot thinking as well as a little bit of preparation, research, and collaboration. While other academic competition style clubs are much more centered around individual growth, mock trial is very much a team sport. In this club, you will be a part of a team and you will be working with like minded students, rather than competing against them. That doesn’t mean you won’t get the opportunity to compete though, we will sign up for a few tournaments with different schools!

The goal of the Carleton Moot Team is to enable members in developing their oral advocacy and legal argumentation skills by preparing for and participating in mooting tournaments.

Founded in 2022, the Carleton Music Club has been a place for Carleton Universities music enthusiasts to meet and jam together. The Carleton Music Club remains a large and active club, boasting over 700 members of the community. Whether you are a seasoned musician or just starting out, the Carleton Music Club welcomes everyone.

CMTS is a student-run theatre company dedicated to producing and performing musicals. In past years we have done Heathers, [title of show], Into the Woods, and more! We ask for volunteers to play stage roles, behind the scenes crew, and production crew. You can also apply to be on our board! Joining CMTS will help you meet other theatre kids, and be part of it all!
