The African Students’ Association (ASA) at Carleton is hosting a conference to mark the official start of our fundraiser for refugees in Uganda. Our goal is to specifically fund students’ education to give our peers in those communities hope and a brighter future. We aim to use our resources and stories to shed light on this cause by uniting the African community at Carleton and beyond. The fundraiser will be ongoing from now up until May 25th, 2024, which is African Union Day! However, we will be hosting an event to commence the fundraiser on April 5th, 2024 at 7pm at Carleton University. Together we can give as many students as possible the chance to go to school and break the cycle of poverty in their communities.
