The Environmental Science Student Association (ESSA) is an academic society that brings together like-minded students from the Institute of Environmental Science to engage peers in academic and social activities. ESSA builds community and is a great opportunity to meet fellow students within the Environmental Science Program. ESSA has organized social events, mentorship programs, and many other projects initiated through membership participation. Meetings are held weekly in the ESSA room at 4440 in the Herzberg building! The purpose of this organization is to create an inclusive space for Eritrean and Ethiopian students, regardless of religious or political views. It serves as an open space for anyone from any and all backgrounds regardless of ancestry, who are interested in learning more about the Ethiopian/Eritrean experiences, cultures and events.

The FSSS is a Carleton University society that supports all Food Science students and alumni. The objectives of the Society shall be to promote and foster a collective community for the purposes of personal, social, and intellectual growth within the Food Science students at Carleton University. The FSSS in its affairs shall strive to ensure equal treatment of all individuals without discrimination based on personal beliefs or characteristics, race, political views, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, residency, language, or mental or physical disability.

Girl Gains is a club that focuses on female weight lifting and empowering women! We host a variety of events through out the year, including work out classes, informational sessions, and much more.

Global Minds Carleton positively impacts global issues through awareness campaigns, fundraisers and hands on volunteering.

The Gujarati Carleton Association is a vibrant community dedicated to celebrating and preserving Gujarati culture at Carleton University. HTI is a club for students passionate about revolutionizing healthcare through technology. 

Her Campus Carleton is a student-run media and lifestyle publication affiliated with Her Campus Media and Carleton University. We aim to create a supportive, inclusive community for women and non-binary students interested in writing, media, and communications. Our members produce weekly articles, host campus events, and engage in creative collaboration across social media and marketing. Through storytelling, leadership, and connection, we empower students to build confidence, community, and professional experience.

Hillel Ottawa’s mission is to enrich the lives of Jewish students so that they may enrich the Jewish people and the world. 

The HTAS represents students in the Bachelor of Arts: History and Theory of Architecture program and seeks to perform as a community, career development, academic excellence, and wellness hub.
