Training Requirements for Club Executives:

Two (2) club executives are required to complete the online Brightspace Training course. Two (2) club executives must complete this training with a final grade of at least 75%. Clubs can discover the online course on “Brightspace” or follow this link.

The Presidents’ Meeting is taking place September 23rd from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. It will be located in room 360 in Tory Building. This is an in-person event.

The event will begin by reviewing some important information for club presidents’. Afterwards, we will transition to the Clubs Oversight Commission Club representative elections. Finally, we will review some case studies on scenarios club executives could experience over the course of the year. Please register your club here.

Please note the following:

  • This is an in-person meeting. There will be no online streaming option. If you are unable to attend, please fill out this form and select “will not attend option.” You will be expected to watch additional videos on the topics discussed at the Presidents’ Meeting and to complete a quiz.
  • Due to capacity concerns, only club presidents are permitted to attend. If your club has co-presidents, both can attend the event and should RSVP.
  • If you cannot attend, you can send one executive in your place- please have them fill out the registration form.
  • No- lunch will be provided, but some light refreshments will be available at a first-come-first-served basis.

Information about the Clubs Oversight Commission Club Rep Elections:

The election will take place during the Club Presidents’ Meeting on September 23rd, 2023. Nominations are now open and will remain open until speeches for club rep elections commence at the Clubs President Meeting. Clubs can choose to fill out this nomination form now or wait to complete the nomination form at the Presidents’ Meeting. We will announce the final call for nominations at the Presidents’ Meeting.

On-Going Training Program for Club Executives:

Each club is expected to attend 2 on-going training sessions each semester. Any executive can attend any 2 on-going training sessions.

  • For example: The Carleton Plant Club has met all training requirements:
    • The President and VP Finance completed the online Brightspace course and all quizzes
    • The President attended the CUSA Clubs Presidents’ Meeting
    • The VP Communications attended the Communications Training and the VP Finance has attended the Sponsorship
