You gain important skills when you become a member or leader of the Club. Let us support your development with Clubs Training. In this section, we provide more information about the Clubs Conference and training resources for all clubs!
Training Requirements for Club Executives:
Two (2) club executives are required to complete the online Brightspace Training course. Two (2) club executives must complete this training with a final grade of at least 75%. Clubs can discover the online course on “Brightspace” or follow this link.

On-Going Training Program for Club Executives:
Each club is expected to attend 2 on-going training sessions each semester. Any executive can attend any 2 on-going training sessions.
- For example: The Carleton Plant Club has met all training requirements:
- The President and VP Finance completed the online Brightspace course and all quizzes
- The President attended the CUSA Clubs Presidents’ Meeting
- The VP Communications attended the Communications Training and the VP Finance has attended the Sponsorship
- Here are the Fall Training Sessions:
- Insurance and Risk Management: September 15th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Held on Zoom
- Communications – Websites and Social Media: September 27th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Held on Zoom.
- Intro to Events and Project Management: October 3rd – 5:00pm – 6:30pm. Hybrid.
- Sponsorships/Partnerships: October 17th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Virtual.
- Advocacy and Clubs: November 16th at 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Hybrid.
- Sexual Violence Prevention Prevention and Support 2.0. Reach out to clubs@cusaonline.ca if you want to complete this training.
- Special Events: Galas, Tournaments, Conferences: November 23rd from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Held on zoom.
- Accessibility & Your Clubs: November 28th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Held on Zoom.

- Mental Health & Wellness for Club Executives: Feb. 6th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm.
- Leadership Succession: Feb.8th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm.
- Co-Curricular Record (CCR) Training: March 5th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Held on Zoom. Held on Zoom: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7392566089
- Leadership Transition Tips. March 12th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Held on Zoom. The zoom link will be posted here on the day of the event and in our linktree.
- Year-End Finances Training. March 19th from 4:00pm – 5:00pm. Held on Zoom. The zoom link will be posted here on the day of the event and in our linktree.
